Eastern Europe

Ever since our travel to Japan during the christmas festive period in 2010, we always try to plan our annual getaway during this time of the year.  You might argue that it’s the peak period for traveling.  Yes, only if you book it late. Emirates airline was starting a new route to Prague, and I was immediately attracted to it.  We had always wanted to visit eastern europe, but the lack of flights connection from Singapore means it never cheap to go there.  Therefore we gladly purchased the promotional fare, and flew to Prague with a transit in Dubai.

We decided on this itinerary after hours of research and reading up on the many valuable trip reports in Fordor’s and Tripadvisor forum.  For this trip we also bought the Rick Steves’ Eastern Europe as well as the Lonely Planet Eastern Europe guidebooks for reference.

Our 17 days itinerary was as followed:  Fly in –> Cesky Krumlov –> Vienna –> Budapest –> Prague –> Fly out
